Bridges
Bridges are essential component of infrastructural development. Soman is particularly attentive to their design and construction. We ensure that sophisticated design software is always available to bring about precision engineering. Excellent design with poor construction will certainly defeat the purpose of the development, in this regard, Soman is heavily involved in construction supervision of bridges.
Soman has been involved in the design and construction supervision of a number of bridges.
Project: Bazoa Bridge Design
in cities and towns. At the heart of sustainable development includes urban design which is an inter-disciplinary subject, that unites all the built environment professions, including urban planning, landscape architecture, civil and municipal engineering. With the understanding of sustainability issues Soman is always particular when designing facilities.

Construction Management
There are many stages involved between a project’s conception and completion. Failure can therefore occur at any of these stages. Failure at any stage is an indication of project failure. For a project to be successful, construction must therefore be planned and managed throughout the process. Soman Consult has provided construction services for a number of projects ranging from complex public works facilities to both large and small private structures. We have provided these services for both Soman-designed facilities and facilities designed by others. Our staff includes Construction Managers, Resident Engineers, Technician Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Geodetic Engineers. We also provide professional training and development of our staff in the ever-changing areas of safety, risk management and claims counseling. Our resources include full-computerized document tracking, scheduling and monitoring capabilities

Integrated Planning
Soman’s Integrated Planning provides our clients with the combined expertise of a talented group of civil Engineers, Geodetic Engineers, Environmental and Development Planners, Economists, Cost analysts, and public involvement experts.
Our services include watershed and water resources planning, storm water and urban wet weather planning, computer modeling and strategic master planning.
By integrating our knowledge of technological-based watershed and water quality research with our business influenced decision and stakeholder consensus building techniques, we provide our clients with comprehensive watershed solutions. This translates into direct benefits such as improving water quality, reducing wastewater and water treatment costs.
Watershed/Storm water planning
Soman’s Watershed/Stormwater Planning services are focused on the feasibility studies and design of facilities that are part of the hydrologic cycle. As our population increases, the public is becoming increasingly aware of water scarcity and the challenges of keeping our fast dwindling water sources in their original state as much as possible. To respond to these challenges, Soman brings great expertise on board capable of developing comprehensive solution that accounts for not just all the components of the hydrologic cycle, but the multiple sources and multiple types of pollution that affect water quality as well. This approach is our foundation for developing comprehensive, sustainable and cost effective solutions. The major categories of services include:
Watershed Assessments/Water Quality Studies
These services are related to the hydrology and water quality of natural systems. Studies focus on the hydrology and water quality of both water supplies (supplies for municipal and agricultural uses), and receiving waters (waters that receive discharges from point and non-point sources). Specific services that fall in this category include pollutant fate and transport, hydrologic modeling, water quality modeling and monitoring plan development.
Storm water Management Planning
Storm water management planning work includes the overall management of storm water in a watershed with specific focus on measures to control and/or treat storm water discharges, opportunities to reuse storm water, and evaluating the hydrologic and water quality impacts of storm water discharges.
